Once more, with feeling.
So I’m trying my hand at the whole blogging thing one more time.
I made a few attempts in the past. For a brief while, I thought about doing a craft/hobby blog, but that didn’t pan out when I realized that I could hardly develop multiple hobbies at once. I just didn’t have the time.
After that, I came up with this zany idea to write an actual journal, then take photos of the pages and post them in a blog, occasionally accompanied by other photos and heavily tagged. I was planning on making this a daily thing, to last until I had completely filled the journal with writings and drawings. Again, it didn’t pan out – I just couldn’t get myself to write something interesting every day.
With those failures behind me, I am now setting out to start something a little more manageable. This blog has no specific purpose, though over time it will most likely be filled with various media reviews (books, music, movies, shows, games) of the slightly obscure variety.
I will also include any stories I come across, either through random adventures around Ohio University or from my adventures through the Internet. I will do my best, also, to attend events around campus and provide input on them.
My aim is to make this more of a news blog and less of a LiveJournal-y, angsty thing – after all, this is not LiveJournal. If you want to hear me angst, that is the place to go to. I intend to update it at least once a week, which seems to me to be a reasonable pace.
So, I ask that you bear with me. This blog is still in its fetal stages, and during spring break (March 20-29) I will work on developing it, most likely getting a domain name and fleshing out a Web site (with the help of my good friend Jeremy).
For me to keep my interest, though, I will need your help. As I add to this blog and hone my craft as a writer, I urge you, the reader, to provide feedback through the comments feature. Let me know what you think. Disagree with me, if you must, but tell me why. Point out what I am doing wrong and what I am doing right. I truly appreciate it.
