Washington, D.C. trip day 2
Today was the first full day of our stay in D.C.
We hit the Mall once again, this time checking out the many interesting buildings of the Smithsonian Institution. We checked out the Air and Space Museum, which was crowded, and the Museum of Natural History, as well as a few other odds and ends.
And once again, I have taken pictures and recorded video to document the day’s goings-on. I had a bit of trouble with iMovie this time around – it apparently isn’t too keen with lots of still photos shown for a brief period of time and mixed with fade transitions. Regardless, here’s the finished product.
It’s a bit longer than the last one. I trimmed it down from around eight minutes, so there is some funny but otherwise irrelevant footage that did not make it into the video, such as a few minutes of us sitting in the subway train as the conductor informs us multiple times over the course of 25 minutes or so that the train will begin moving momentarily. It’s okay, though; he apologized for the inconvenience.
For anyone curious, the jazz music playing is Art Pepper’s “Pepper Returns”. The tune at the end is Thom Yorke’s “Atoms For Peace”.
